Firefox pops up a window saying
Enter password to unlock the Certificate/Key storage
an application wants access to "Gnome2 Key Storage" but it is locked
Can't cancel or clear the window and none of my passwords work. I've never accessed such. Where is it and how do I set it or clear it.

Gnome2??? That is ancient. No plugin from the Gnome2 era would be compatible with the new firefox plugin API.

Found more than imaginable. Switching desktops and display managers apparently set a configuration unbeknownst to me. There is even a gui manager. seahorse

PS If this was because you want to run historical firefox plugins, you have a better chance using Palemoon. It still has the historical XPI plugin interface that is no longer in current firefox.
