I ran yum update earlier today.
Everything seemed to be working OK but I think a font has changed (arial?).
Then I tried to use kwalletmanager. It won't run. All my passwords for bank accounts, share dealing, ebay and everything else are stored in my wallet, so this is a bit of a nuisance to say the least.
I've not done anything to the system today apart from run the updater, and the kwalletmanager executable properties says it was last modified on 14th August and I've been using it since then. So I am guessing that a library update from today is broken? Any chance of this being fixed before the ebay item I'm bidding on expires tomorrow?

I also just tried navigating to the wallet file with Konqueror. Right click Open with Wallet Management Tool also does nothing.
I cannot get out my password for bugzilla to report this right now. If anybody else is seeing this problem, could they please report it?
Thanks
Dave

You did not say what Fedora release or KDE version you are using, however its "probably" related to this bug:
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129161
A temporary work around for you would be to kill Kwallet and then run it again, IE: [g6avk:Sun Aug 20 00:43:04 @~]$ ps aux|grep kwallet g6avk 3829 [g6avk:Sun Aug 20 00:43:17 @~]$ kill -9 3829
Then run it again, from the shell or Menu.

Sorry - it was getting a bit late. I'm on FC5, up to date.

Yes it did, thanks.
Perhaps I should take this as a warning - get the contents copied out of the wallet from time to time on to something else that's secure. Maybe get a copy of TrueCrypt and secure a floppy with it.

Good idea, FYI I always keep a regular backup of my .kde DIR on another drive incase I run into problems when testing pre-releases. This holds all of the custom data/config etc for KDE.
Cheers

Ah HA! I started a thread, 'Fonts Gone Wild' about this. Looks like Hell, right? Ric
