Compiz/aiglx on 2 Notebooks

i can confirm the following:

compiz/aiglx is NOT working with those cards:

neomagic 256
s3 via prosavage pn133

...or did anybody get those running with a hp xt1000 and a dell cpi-R?

Not suprised there.  The Neomagic256 only does hardware acceleration with 
16 bit colors.
