NX is working fine from the fedora packages but it is really a long time ago since i had to configure it and as far as i remeber there were some missing links/paths
i have configured this around 2007 and tend to upgrade/migrate my configurations over years

your ssh configuration was not made or is broken
the "authorized_keys"-file of your user must contain the public key of the nx-user and you need the matching private key from /var/lib/nxserver/home/.ssh/ configured in your client
