Firefox and Java bug

Go to a website that has a Java applet that has text boxes.
Try to enter some text.
It's not working, no matter what i type in, nothing shows up.

I'm not sure...but isn't there an update for JAVA to 1.5.xx?

Maybe that might help...or atleast all software version angles will have 
been explored.

Version 1.5.0_03 is latest release.  Downloaded mine from
http://java.sun.com. Don't know if jpackage has that version
available..

I am sorry to tell you that you are wrong because the update version
is still 1.5.0_02 only. I checked from www.java.com and try to
download a copy is 02 not 03..

Not all websites using Java are yet compatible with Java 1.5

How does that affect the client web browser and the installation of
the JRE?  Just because a web server does not support Java 1.5 does not
mean a browser cannot use a higher version. Per Sun Microsystems the
1.5.0_03 JRE is compatible with down level versions as old as 1.2.1.
