mcelog is now handled, by mcelog.service
You can "cat /var/log/messages | grep mce" How could that be made more permanent, to get all mce events into /var/log/mcelog.
Do people just disable the .service, and re-enable the mcelog.cron?

I've not thought about it.... But, "man mcelog" reveals...
When the --logfile=file option is specified append log output to the specified file. With the --no-syslog option mcelog will never log any‐ thing to the syslog.
So, maybe you can create a modified service to do what you want?

Thanks Ed, Was able to modify /etc/mcelog/mcelog.setup, --logfile=/var/log/mcelog
