Does anyone know a way to run a Scrabble program on Fedora? (I realize the obvious existence of Wine and of virtual machines; but my experience with both has been thoroughly unsatisfactory; my hope is that a linux-native app may exist.)
There seem to be two proprietary Scrabble programs, one in which you play against the computer, and one in which you play against a remote friend. (I don't play Scrabble.)

Scrabble itself is a proprietary game. Any FOSS version would either have to get permission from the game's owner or infringe on their copyright/trademark, so I doubt that you'll ever see a free version.

You might want to check out "Words With Friends", it runs in a browser. I don't use it, but my wife keeps a few games going all the time. Might require Facebook, not sure.

If you are in mode toplay with it a bit (eg prepare your nation alpha set or tune a settings a bit), You can try http://jscrabble.wz.cz/ It is not packed just because of authors lazines to pack depndences :(
