Just tried the new Fedore 10 DVD iso, installes fine, then I reboot and it hangs.
sdb: sdb1 sdb2 sd 0:0:8:0: [sdb] attached SCSI Disk sd 0:0:8:0: [sdb] attached SCSI generic sq1 type 0
And then I'm toast. Any Ideas
Thanks Duane

Yes! Sounds just like what happened to one of my servers. I spent hours trying to figure it out.
In the end I figured out that there has been some change to the SCSI initialisation code such that it hangs trying to detect the DVD drive if it doesn't have a disc in it. Try putting a CD into your CD drive and boot again.
If this turns out to be your problem too please add a note to:

Yes, I got the solution and found success. This is a Fedora-SCSI issue which can be solved with the following
1) Boot from rescue mode (use Fedora10 DVD ) 2) chroot /mnt/sysimage/ 3) /sbin/mkinitrd -f --with=scsi_wait_scan /boot/initrd-2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686.PAE.img 2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686.PAE
Note: Please replace "initrd-2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686.PAE.img" and "2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686.PAE" with the correct distro image & version you have (applicable in case of any change )
4) exit 5) reboot
That's it. Now Fedora can scan SCSI and boot from /dev/root.
