Wondering if anyone could direct me to software that would allow me to syncn the PalmIII. Checked Palmone and didn't find any thing for
Thanks.

Check out the pilot-link package. It is provided with Fedora. For instructions on how to use it, check out http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO/PalmOS-HOWTO.html That has a section on using a serial connection (I presume thats how to connect the PalmIII - but I never owned one of them).

The pilot-link set of tools (included with Fedora) is all you need. The procedure I used for my Palm IIIx is the same one I use for my m100 is the same one I use for my Tungsten E. Only udev has changed anything.
Here's the web page that details everything I needed: http://www.clasohm.com/blog/one-entry?entry_id=12096
