I have an HP M402dn printer which has started printing the Cantarell font as blanks; a page using the Cantarell font prints as a perfectly blank page. The printer has no problem with (eg) the Liberation Sans font. I believe the problem started recently, possibly with my upgrade from Fedora-31 to Fedora-32 on about May 17. Questions: * How can I find out what fonts my printer supports? * How can I install fonts into the printer?
Thanks in advance - jon

You don't install fonts in the printer. Fonts are processed on the computer side and turned into commands to draw the letter shapes on the printer. So something has gone wrong between the font, the program you're printing from, cups, and the printer.
What program are you trying to print from? Can you try a different one? What about using bold or italic, does that make any difference?

Not knowledgeable about printing, but my understanding is that documents are converted into a special language that the printer understands. That is, the printer doesn't know anything about fonts. It is more likely that the font in question has changed its configuration; there was an initiative to retire old font formats and convert them to a new one. You should open a bugzilla against the font that is not working.
