HP Pavillion dv6000 - no sound

Hi List;

I'm converting a frustrated M$ Vista user to Fedora. I've installed Fedora 7 
on his HP Pavillion dv6000 but I cannot get sound to work.

Can anyone help me debug/correct this?

yum -y upgrade , I own a dv6139eu and i had that problem too, just
update the system to the latest kernel
