[OT] mystery character

Hi all,

Since this list has got to have one of the most diverse user sets out 
there I thought to ask this here.

While watching a youtube presentation about CSS I came across a selector 
using a character that I don't recognize and can't copy/paste since it's 
in a video so I screenshotted it.

Anybody know what it is or what language it is from?

Hello!

That seems to be just an old-style "&", and is present in some stylized/cursive fonts. The Wikipedia page has some more examples:

Looks like the ampersand from Trebuchet MS (Windows).  It is essentially a
ligature
form of the Latin "et": &
