Like I said in one of my other posts, firefox runs just fine on one
of my other F25 systems. The system of which it fails is one that I
initially tried to upgrade from F22 -> F25, this failed, so I did a
F22 -> F24 upgrade. However, after the system finished upgrading and
I logged in I discovered that somehow the system was now at F25. I
did a dnf distro-sync to make sure all the right packages were
installed and despite all this firefox still crashes. I don't
believe firefox itself is the problem. Anyway here's the ouput you
requested.
Thanks. I think the installation is hosed. When I run that command on
my system, there is no output, and firefox starts right up.

I read this as an internal error in firefox. Like you, I don't think it
is because of firefox, but because the installation has been corrupted.
Anyway, this is all academic, since you now have a working version that
you downloaded directly.
