After a lot of google and wrong downloads I am still without xmms.

Kindly point me to the correct xmms for fedora 14 x86_64 please.

Installed rpmfusion repo.
Removed installed xmms and plugins.
Installed same from rpmfusion.
Playing mp3 now.

You may also want to look at xmms2. ;)

# yum -y install xmms

This will install xmms-1.2.11-11.20071117cvs.fc14.x86_64.rpm from the
F14 Everything repo.

Not having tried it I can't be absolutely sure, but I suspect you could compile
the xmms src rpm here for Fedora 14 without too much grief:
