I have to say, I am anciouse to start my download of this new release tommorow. I certainly hope the guys at Fedora don't suddenly decide to move the schedule up to some other time. I guess we will all have to wait and see then.
Me toooooo....

If you're really waiting for Fedora _Core_ 7, you'll be waiting forever, as there will be no such release. ;-)
Fedora 7 (_no_ "Core") is still scheduled for today/tomorrow (May 31), and as all that needs to be done at this point is flagging the directories open on the mirrors already having it (and hoping the slow ones hurry up with syncing ;-) ), no slip is expected at this point.

There could have been a more polite way to correct me, rather than being the smart arse you are so proudly and arrogantly proving to be!
Thanks for the knowledge though!

Now now... you have to be on this list for awhile before you defame another list member. Just like a family. Kevin is one of the good ones and, like it or not, he was completely correct. The entire idea of FC7 is for the core and extras to become "one". How else could he correct you so that you "get it"? Be careful as to not alienate anyone, if at all possible. You never know from whence cometh your deliverance. :) Ric

Hey Ric, That brought to my mind that "flame" we had some months ago, or almost a year ago, I took it totally wrong, but at least, I faced you! HA!
Well, the point here is that Kevin was right, and I wonder how sizo found out that name, Fedora_Core_7. I have never ever seen it wrote that way on the Internet :-) But sizo, you might want to start a fork called Fedora_Core_7 and beat Kevin :-)
Just joking, don't take it personally
All the best Manuel

You're a good man Manuel! It was the start of a beautiful relationship! (with apologies to Bogie and Casablanca)

Did you ever post a link to the group here for your speech? I enjoyed it thoroughly and your English was plenty good enough. :) Ric

Heheheh no way Ric, I've just read that over there, in your country the King of the Internet Spam has been arrested, I don't want follow him because of those two links! That's what you want for me? I'm young and I have a life!! In addittion, my guess is that no one here knows either Pandora Free Monitoring system (there was a guy asking for a solution a month ago, though) or Babel Security Auditing System.
Time to go to the office, thanks God it's friday again! Manuel

Nice to see that you all stick out for one another, I will be sure to watch what I say in the future, but you guys have got to admit that, the harshness with which I was guided to my correction was rather uncalled for?
As we speak I can count Dario Scott and ne... who are all amongst others including myself making the mistake of calling it FC7 instead of F7 as is the lovely rod that Keving lashed the knowledge of this fact on me so well.
But sizo, you might want to start a fork called Fedora_Core_7 and beat Kevin :-)
Here is a nice thought, it's welcoming that there are some too that will stand to balance the scales on the newbies's side!

IMHO, you're taking this personally and there's no point on doing that. I'm pretty sure Kevin didn't want to say what he said in a bad way or even more, not pretending you to think you made the mistake of your life. It's not going to be the last time some one here took something wrong, it always happened with emails, instant messaging and all that stuff which not allow two folks to see their faces or listen to their each other voice when talking...and it always going to happen.

I can place myself much more closer to the newbie's side...do you want me to send you my bank account number off the list? :-))
Cheers! Manuel

Horrah to that! How many times does anyone ever get an offer as such? ;-))

Well, the point is that in our dialog there was mis-perceptions probably due to the contraints of using English in text without facial recognition, such as whether the other was grinning hugely or frowning. Manuel and I fell into that one, but sorted it out privately. Now he's considered to be a close friend and I respect the living hell out of what he does... the man is deep.
No one is "out to get" anyone on this list. We're like family of sorts. When you've been on the list awhile you'll get to "know" the rest of your family members and be able to treat them accordingly and appropriately. I know who I can poke sticks at and enjoy doing so, and I'll get repartee in return. It just happens to be the inherent nature of any email list, and this is a pretty gentile one. I've seen far worse. I thought his reply was more to the point, as opposed to judgmental. You, obviously didn't see it like that. Ric
