Why is it that there are .fc7 packages in the fc8 Everything repositories?
I found out installing pygame, but looking at http://mirrors.vexs.net/pub/fedora/linux/releases/8/Everything/x86_64/os/Pac... (others are the same) I found a lot of fc7 packages.
Shouldn't they all be fc8?
BTW, after upgrading Fedora 7 to 8 I have a lot of .fc7 packages installed, and I want to know if it's OK.

No. Not everything was rebuilt just to change the name. Those that did not need to be were not. Look more closely. There are also .fc6 packages in there.

Yes. It is ok. Look more closely at your install and you might also find .fc6 packages there. It depends on what you installed. You will find them, of course, in FC8 everything also.
It is the same for both i386 and X86_64.

It is OK.
This was discussed before. My memory is that they are packages that didn't need to get rebuilt for f8.
P.S. It looks like everything is likely to get rebuilt for f9 based on discussion I have seen on the mailing lists.

That is correct. I believe it was mentioned in the release notes.
