I am trying to add a couple of more places where Yum can get software. In man yum it said there are these files that do this:
FILES /etc/yum/yum.conf /etc/yum/repos.d/ /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/ /var/cache/yum/
Well this is not the way it is on the F7 version. As usual I think the docs are a bit behind. Does anyone know where repos.d is located now?

It is exactly as documented in /etc/yum.repos.d. Why do you claim it is not?

You can always do a: locate repos.d

Rahul, *you* have the dir correct, but man yum claims that the dir is /etc/yum/repos.d as it's mentioned, and Karl is stating that it isn't there and wants to know where it is. You read what he wrote wrong (or now I am haha).
Karl, /etc/yum.repos.d/ is the dir that you need to go to see other .repo files. The FILES section from the man page is wrong and needs updating.

/etc/yum.repos.d does not equal what man yum shows as /etc/yum/repos.d/. If you have the proper information please present it and do not assume I am stupid. I am not.
Further more a nice person pointed to his web page where he has a rpm that does what I need automatically. And as I type this I am yummimng vlc and it will be done soon.
Karl
PS: /etc/yum.repos.d does exist on F7 and it does have a lot of files. I don't know how to make them.

I did that and had a long list.

Hi and it is a dead issue. I got a rpm that did all the steps needed and I yum the software and it works.

I already told you the correct directory. If the man page is incorrect file a bug report to bugzilla.
