[Fwd: Re: Applying Intel CPU microcode update]
by James Laska
Greetings folks,
Kamil and Siddhesh noted the following issue on test(a)lists.fp.org
yesterday. Thought it might be of interest to the virt community as
well.
Thanks,

Xen dom0 on KVM
by Anoosh Hosseini
Hi,
I have been able to run Centos 5.4-xen on top of KVM as a way to experiment
without having to re-image/reboot my server. What is the best way to enable
say virtio driver in dom0 so that it will use KVM's more optimum interface
down to server. Is there a better approach for building a well performing
domU/dom0/kvm stack?
thanks

kvm, xen and what requires H/W virt support?
by Robert P. J. Day
i might have asked this once and forgotten the answer but here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Beats/Virtualization
the caution near the bottom:
"KVM requires hardware virtualization features in the host system.
Systems lacking hardware virtualization do not support Xen guests at
this time."
i'm confused since this seems to be mixing two issues -- what basic
KVM requires, as opposed to which systems support Xen guests. would
there be a clearer way to word that?
