xen 4.2 and libvirt

I would like to update the xen version on rawhide and probably also Fedora
18 to xen 4.2.0 , however libvirt links against some xen libraries whose
versions have changed in xen 4.2 and when I looked a few months ago it
seemed that libvirt didn't support the newer library versions.
Does anyone know what the current support status of libvirt for xen 4.2
is, and what work might be going on (if necessary) to add it?

No networking?

I'm on fedora 17 and I just started trying to install a
fedora 17 virtual machine where I can screw around with
stuff without blowing up my actual machine.
I get to step 5 of 5 in the New VM wizard of virt
manager and it tells me "No networking" and has
a little warning triangle icon.
Whyfor? All my existing virtual machines use one
of the two bridge devices I have, but it doesn't
seem to see the bridges?
It used to see them in earlier versions of virt-manager.
Is this a bug or some kind of new feature that
requires me to go to infinite pains to make
virt-manager aware of the bridges for my
convenience?
I'll try to do the install and manually tweak the
xml later to see if I can add the bridge...

close VM display => qemu-kvm goes to 100%

I was running updates on my new fedora 17 KVM, so I figured
it would take a while and I closed virt-manager.
The qemu-kvm process for the virtual machine had been running
at maybe 5 or 10 percent of the cpu, as soon as I closed
the windows, it went to 100%.
When I opened virt-manager again and opened the VM, the
cpu dropped back down to 5 or 10%.
It did choose to install the VM with spice as the display.
Is this behavior somehow related to spice? Or maybe the
display drive inside the VM (that is one of the thing
which is probably getting an update now).

I've moved it around under
http://danken.fedorapeople.org/my-virt-preview, and added f17, but then
realised, that we should better request whomever responsible on
fedora-virt-preview to update libvirt under
http://fedorapeople.org/groups/virt/virt-preview/

Problem with mouse (cursor) in VM

Good evening,
I am running F18 inside a VM (KVM). The base OS is a current F17. I
am using the qxl video driver. It seems the mouse driver is confused
about the coordinates of the cursor as it continually attempts to reduce
the application into the "Activities" mode (show the panel with the
applications drawn smaller).
I also have a lot of problems with drag 'n drop.
I'm unsure what component to use when filing an entry in bugzilla.

Fedora 18
=========
Fedora 18 has slipped a few weeks due to ongoing trouble with some blocker
bugs that release engineering wants fixed before the alpha goes out:

libvirt 0.10 release
====================
On August 29th, libvirt 0.10.0 was released! The release highlights:
- agent: add qemuAgentArbitraryCommand() for general qemu agent command
- Introduce virDomainPinEmulator and virDomainGetEmulatorPinInfo functions
- network: use firewalld instead of iptables, when available
- network: make network driver vlan-aware
- esx: Implement network driver
- driver for parallels hypervisor
- Various LXC improvements
- Add virDomainGetHostname
However there were a few serious issues in the release, so a 0.10.1 release
followed soon after with several important bug fixes:

0.10.1 is currently in rawhide. F18 has 0.10.0 rc2, and will have 0.10.1

Reviving QEMU PPC, Sparc
========================
Following the prerequisite work done in July, qemu-system-sparc and
qemu-system-ppc packages are now available in F18 and rawhide. See the package

Additionally, KVM is now enabled for all targets that support it. This doesn't
change anything for the default fedora packages, but it allows the Fedora PPC
folks to get a KVM enabled qemu-system-ppc in their package builds.
