How can I keep fullscreen on the guests permanent. I tick the check boxes on each console, but on reboot of the host, the tick marks are gone.
This is mainly an eyesight issue for me. virt-manager-0.8.4-2.fc13.noarch

Do you mean the 'fullscreen' checkbox or just a maximized window?
If the former, there isn't any way, and I don't think we will ever support it. Launching a VM and having it go straight to fullscreen view would be confusing IMO, and we would have to add separate UI to permanently opt in.
If talking about the latter, virt-manager should remember your VM windows dimensions between runs. If it isn't file a bug. You can get near fullscreen window size by maximizing the window, hiding the toolbar with View->Toolbar, and possibly enabling Scaling under the View menu.

This is what was meant, bad thoughts. I will take a screenshot. Might throw more light on it.

You can either try and increase the resolution inside the guest, or enable scaling under View->Scale Display->Always

Thanks Cole, It was changing video to Vmvga gave the extra resolutions. (something I was too timid to do all along) It's now almost fullsize when scaled.
