Problem with mouse (cursor) in VM

Good evening,
I am running  F18 inside a VM (KVM).  The base OS is a current F17.  I
am using the qxl video driver.  It seems the mouse driver is confused
about the coordinates of the cursor as it continually attempts to reduce
the application into the "Activities" mode (show the panel with the
applications drawn smaller).

I also have a lot of problems with drag 'n drop.

I'm unsure what component to use when filing an entry in bugzilla.

I saw the same bug, there are "0,0" mouse events being produced. It isn't
the spice agent - you can verify for yourself by killing it (killall spice-vdagent;
killall spice-vdagentd).

You can see the bug with
xinput test 7 | grep "=0"
where 7 is the number of the usb tablet device from xinput list.

I'm trying to see if it happens with ps2 emulation only.

Hi John,

 In continuation of my previous message, I think it's either an X issue or a kernel
issue. If you have time to help rule out either option, can you:
 1. see if you can reproduce in windows vm?
 2. see if you can reproduce with fedora 16 vm? (which has different X and kernel)

I do NOT see the problem inside my Windows XP VM.

I do NOT see the problem inside my F17 VM.

Unfortunately, life is busy today and tonight, so I won't be able to do
any more testing until tomorrow night.

Just to be sure, that is with a usb tablet, with an agent, or you tested both?

Alon,

Not sure how to determine what you're asking.  So I've attached the
three logs from F17 (works), Win7 (works) and RawhideJwh.log (does NOT
work properly).

I thougth the qxl driver was borked at the moment.
Can you test it with another driver?

I pushed a fixed one, if you have any issues with it please let me know via bugzilla.
