Using SPICE from virt-manager and selecting View -> Fullscreen, the menu bar is still displayed, shifting the display downward.
Fedora 15 spice-gtk-0.5-6.fc15.x86_64 libvirt-0.8.8-4.fc15.x86_64 virt-manager-0.8.7-4.fc15.noarch
Anyone know of a workaround?

Upstream uses a mechanism similar to vinagre: when in fullscreen, there is a hiding toolbar that is shown if the pointer is moved to the top center of the screen.
But until a new virt-manager version is released there isn't any workaround. I'd like to release a new version within a month and push it to f15.

This sounds cool, so I updated to upstream virt-manager and python-virtinst. When switching to fullscreen, the toolbar disappears. However it does not reappear, when moving the pointer to the top.
Anything I am doing wrong?

Is this f14 or f15? Works for me on f14.
When the toolbar hides, it should leave a 1 pixel tall row on the top center of the screen. Do you see that? If you run with virt-manager --debug, are there any errors on the console?

I am running f15. It works now.
One problem was that the screen on my monitor was not adjusted properly, so the one pixel row at the top was invisible. Also, when moving the pointer towards the top, I accidentally missed the small area in the middle. I had assumed that the toolbar would have screen width.
Anyway, monitor is adjusted and it works now .. very cool indeed.
Another observation: if the guest is not running and I make the console fullscreen, the little toolbar does not seem to be there at all.
And ... it would be nice if one could somehow easily switch between running VMs via this toolbar.

I've fixed this by disabling the fullscreen options unless the graphical console is actually connected.

Hmm, interesting idea, but not sure if it's generally useful to warrant space on the toolbar. Might be a question for a UX designer.
Thanks, Cole

Maybe a sequence of keys to do the same? Similar to a KVM switch

Just my 2 cents. Personally, I'd love to see a vm switcher from the toolbar or the autodrawer widget. I use virt-manager a lot and this would save me a lot of time.
By the way, good work on getting the autodrawer feature in virt-manager.
