export regulation
by Mohammed
Hi there webmaster,
I think you might consider revising the fine print in your website
regarding the Export regulation...
your version of the export regulation state that the product may not be
exported or re-exported to certain countries (currently Cuba, Iran,
Iraq, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria).
I think you might reconsider Iraq from the list, because I hope it is
not considered as a hostile regime any more, and I double checked the
document. Scp[e pf tje Export Administration Regulations
(http://www.access.gpo.gov/bis/ear/pdf/734.pdf) which is an October
15,2009 version, states the countries a(Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan
and Syria), they dropped Iraq form the list, and if I correctly
recollect, that happened even earlier, sometime after 2003, I guess
around 2006 or even earlier.
So I wonder if it is possible for you to review the relevant document
and drop Iraq from that list....

Mohammed

Fedora 12 wrong file name
by Kartik
Gentlemen,
Since 1997, I have been using RH Linux and later Fedora. Recently, I wanted to download Fedora 12, and hence I visited the following site to download the 5 CDS
http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora-all
I went to the Direct Download (left) and clicked i386-Install CDs
The attached is the list of iso files downloaded (Fedora-12-i386-disc1.iso....)
I wanted to install FC12 as dual boot. When I have started to install, looking at the files being copied, they were all for i686. And by them it was too late. The whole of the MBR was changed and I lost all the windows.
Hence, could you please make sure that the files names and the contents are the same. If I am wrong, please advise.
Regards
Kartik

New Gui
by Arnaud
Hello everyone,
First sorry if that email is sent to the wrong person, please forward to
whom may have an interest in what follows.
I am currently a Linux user (Fedora 11) and was wondering if there are
experimental, different dekstop/Gui/interface existing than the MS or
Mac style. On my opinion it is important to have a Gui that is different
than these operating system. I found thanks to a friend that kind of Gui
that a man made as a summer project. I am not an expert concerning
ergonomy and OS but I found it interesting at least t consider. Maybe
you heard about it already but please find the link here :

The one of Oblong industry ( http://oblong.com/ ) is thrilling too but I
doubt that it would be released as FOSS. The power of Linux is to be
great for experimental an new things and we are in that range with these
interface.
I do not have the solution for the future but creating something new is
better than reproducing something existing. Of course easier to say than
doing it and I am aware that I am a user. Still, think about the video
game industry : nintendo broke every barrier whit a simple console. The
power of the WII is not as great as the Playstation 3 or Xbox, still
Nintendo manage to break through with another way of dealing with the
people : what is the range of use of that machine ? Everyone know the
answer concerning the success of the WII. Daring to go where no one
goes, Nintendo succeeded. Innovation, a different way of thinking, a
different approach of what people expect. Be original, be new.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct
your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

Dear Sir or Ma'am:
How come this page does not display the commands? I have an older
system that is giving me fits, and I really need to get yum working. Is
there anyway to display this page in a browser along with the commands?
Thanks,
