Sugar on a Stick Spin Page
by Genevieve Johnson
Hello, my name is Genevieve and I am currently working among my fellow class
members at Allegheny College to create a spin page for Sugar on a Stick. I
have very little experience with creating websites. As of now I feel like
the design of the website will be the biggest challenge, I’m not quite sure
of where to start with that. Is there any information at all and other
helpful things such as links that would help me to get started on the spin
page process?

My FAS account
by Horst H. von Brand
My FAS account is vonbrand.
I can't log in to the wiki, as the login page keeps on changing that into
Vonbrand. I can get into https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/user/view
with my account name and password without any troubles, but I can't log in
elsewhere in the wiki.
Thanks for any help!

what happened to fedora
by Tesfaye Tariku
Hi,
I haven't update fedora for quite sometime and purchased a CD to completely install existing fedora core 2 to version 11.
I found it completely different that requires as intensive memory as MS systems. Installation used to be very easy and even earlier pentium CPU's haven't been problem. Especially memory used to be the best of linux in general.
Let me give you what happened.
The computer which I have installed fedora 11 was on PIII over 600ghz speed, 256MB RAM, 80GB Hard drive, 512MB video and this system is just experimental, not production ofcourse.
Very interestingly the fedora system took the entire night to complete the installation with sever attempt of changing options. I have used the default suggested package installed on the system.
The best of Linux supposed to be low over head, great x-server with very low video memory, work on any CPU, compact, flexible, and so on.
But I found non of these on fedora11. For my own curiocity I have read the doc's and the suggested min requirments are resource intensive which Microsoft 7 could work greatly with that resources.
What happened to the Linux community? Cought on the Windows competion? Feel very sad the change brought unexpected end to the great system.
I hope all the rest of linux flavors not fall on this problem. One thing I have noticed on the documentation was that suggested not to used the text mode on installation. Isn't it the beauty of Linux - the used of text mode on installation?
It seems to me that you follow the industries rather than guide them to this great operating systems. Companies wanna sell their video card, motherboard, and so on and you follow their lead.

Tes

Deluge update on Fedora
by Mr Buick MacColl
Hi there Deluge people...
I've been getting an update pop up for a while now, but every time I go
to the Website to find it, I get this;
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/packages/name/deluge
I do indeed use Fedora and installed originally through my software
update utility.
I've been having lots of problems recently with loss of wpeed and am
hoping that an update will sort this.
Could you please advise me on an easy way to update the version that I
have to a newer version?
I currently have version 1.1.9
I'm not particularly good with doing complicated installs on Linux
without simple instructions, so it does need to be simple.
If this mail has been sent only to the Webmaster, could you please
forward this onto someone that can help me. Thanks :)
Thanks for your time here
Buick
