October 2011 - websites - Fedora Mailing-Lists

All, In anticipation for the GA release, I'm planning on merging the fedora-web.git repo and consolidating everything to the master branch. i'll be merging [1] f15-beta and spins-update branch into master this weekend (likely Saturday night). After the merge, we'll have to make changes to the 'master' branch for any GA release updates. Also, as an FYI, we are currently building fp.o and spins.fp.o from f15-beta branch. More Fedora Desktops confusion

Hey all, I notice that most of the screenshots on http://fedoraproject.org/en/features are of GNOME2 versions of things except a couple. There was a thread a while back on this list about updating them - did that ever get followed up? We should probably fix those, and it'd be good to have them ready for F16 to avoid confusion, methinks. Cheers ~Chris

I was just wondering, how do you get to be in the your life in fedora section? I'm a grade 12 in highschool and thought it might be pretty cool if you had someone still in highschool on it and that it would be pretty awesome being on the fedoraproject website.

Fedora 15 Sugar on a Stick

A long time coming, and it took a lot longer than I would have liked, but we're done! Jared said there would be some lovely people here that could get the various bits up on the spin site and get the isos into appropriate locations. The details of the isos are below as cut by rel-eng. problem with incoherent sentence.

Dear Mrs, Mr, I'll be brief on the problem, on the french web page : http://fedoraproject.org/fr/download-splash?file= On the paragraph "J'ai besoin d'aide pour utiliser ou installer Fedora." the text is incoherent. Indeed the title of the paragraph ask if "I need help running or installing Fedora." but the answer is "how you can help the fedoraproject". That's make me laugh. So the coherent answer is : J'ai besoin d'aide pour utiliser ou installer Fedora. Vous pouvez obtenir de l'aide du Projet Fedora de plusieurs manières, depuis les forums, en direct sur les salons de discussion ou encore sur les listes de diffusion.Thakfully, the web link is correct ! Fedora Desktops confusion

Hello, I downloaded couple of Fedora 15 desktops and what I noticed is that on this page http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora-options the screenshot of "Fedora 15 Desktop Edition - Fedora Default" http://fedoraproject.org/static/images/screenshots/full-desktop-ss-gnome.png shows Gnome 2 but when I installed it it turns to be Gnome 3... I'm wrong about this, and is there a Fedora 15 Desktop with Gnome 2 at all? Thanks Nick
