Hello all.
I'm a computing student willing to contribute to Fedora. I am a serious
person and hard worker. Right now I am an ambassador who spreads Fedora
message and goodnesses with my classmates and other courses and also with
my friends and family. I have a blog where I write some technical
articles, although it's not Fedora based, I base my examples on it.
My website experiencie is not huge, but I'm confortable with wordpress and
drupal (not with development of modules/plugins). I have created some
projects for my course. I'm also confortable with xml, html and css and in
my class we are learning php and also in my spare time I am learning things
of Python and Java.

Handling fedoracommunity.org
by Kévin Raymond
Hi there,
I've pushed a fix[1] that change the default home page regarding the
language code (it was APAC before, wrong to me). It is quite broken as
if you choose "es" you will be in EMEA instead of LATAM for Argentina
for example, but I think that it is best than always showing APAC.
While adding new community websites, I got a question:
Should the text be in the local language? (I've done like it was for
other countries, but all are not consistent).
Because I like consistency:
- Should all text be translatable (therefore the English version would
be updated)
- Or should the text be in the local language (i.e. not translatable)
--. => should this apply only for the subtitle(Communidad Usuarios
Argentina) , or olso to the title (Argentina)?
I am +1 for not translating the title (country) but not the subtitle.
Should someone check if we have all the following ones:

[fedoracommunity.org] The filler pics didn't fill up the whole box.
by Caius Chance
Hi,
There are some problems on appearance in:
http://fedoraommunity.org/apac (and all other 3 regions)
The top box "Region-wide Resources" has the pale background filled nicely. However, for the boxes of "Community Site in this region", the filler pics only stayed on the left without filling up the whole box by extension or repeating itself just like the "Region-wide Resources". I have checked out the CSS which seems the top box used different method as the boxes below.
Would you mind to have a look on that please?
Thank you very much.

Feedback
by Stephen Brennan
I know this is probably the wrong place to give feedback but I could not find a link anywhere for feedback. Please let me know the appropriate place for feedback.
I would like to say I am interested in using Fedora but am frustrated with the new Gnome 3 desktop. I would like the older Gnome 2/Gnome Classic desktop back. I note there are a number of independent projects to do this (Gnome Classic http://code.google.com/p/gnome-classic/ and Blue bubble http://k3rnel.net/2011/06/22/bluebubble-the-fine-manual/ for example).
I appreciate all the work that goes into designing and building this OS for free but I think this new desktop although ingenious is very impractical and makes it harder for people to learn and use Fedora and will have a negative impact on support for Fedora as an OS and therefore on support for new development.
Could we please have a Gnome 2/Gnome Classic release of Fedora 15/16 so novices like me don't have to mess around with all sorts complications right off the bat? I am trying to learn to use Linux with very little time available, with the intension to make the switch from MS but things like this just make that much more unlikely. I am a software developer and would like an easy path to learn how to develop for Linux. Time limitations is the problem the majority of people have to deal with so anything that makes using Fedora more time consuming will have a negative impact on Fedora as a popular OS.
Regards
Stephen

bullshits!
by charlie
Hi!
on your website i have found: "
Totem Movie Player plays movie files of many various formats, as well as DVDs, CDs, and VCDs. Many great plugins exist for Totem that enable you to expand your experience: a YouTube plugin so you can watch YouTube videos without the hassle of a web browser; a UPNP/DLNA plugin so you can stream content off of a home media server; and a publisher that enables you to share your playlists with other users on your network.
You can also use Totem to stream videos from the internet."
soo.. i have installed fedora 16 64-bit. and now i can to play any movie, because there is no possible to install any codec with ac-3 support. there is no support for this problem on ur website, so please stop to writte this bullshits on your website! now i have to reinstall everything and to back to my previous system... a i have lost 2 days... thanks;]
