We were talking about this in #fedora-design, a few points came up:
- Jared, can you write the statement with the broad header of 'Interent
Censorship', mentioning *both* SOPA and PIPA since both are threats?
- From a website design point-of-view, the best way of incorporating the
statement is to have a heading about it in the orange ticker tape on the
website as well as have the default slide in the main slide area that
relates to internet censorship. Both should click through to the
statement Jared is writing.
- Does anybody have ideas for graphics to go along with the slide text?
Some ideas we had:
- keep it completely black or a black gradient
- have a black background with outlines of people that have 'censored'
labels on top of them (and maybe put an outline of beefy somewhere in
there too)
- (okay this is silly) have an artsy-looking field of hot dog-less
buns
What do you think?

Hey everyone, my name is Matthew. I am a web developer based out of Miami,
Florida and I was looking to help volunteer with the Fedora Project's
websites team. I have been a full-time programmer for a couple years now,
working mainly in PHP/HTML/CSS/jQuery. A number of the websites our company
works with employ an MVC setup, though I've also spend time working with
WordPress sites. Anyways, I'm just trying to find ways to build up my
skills as well as give back to the Linux community (as a ten-year Linux
user). In IRC my nickname is cuppsy. Thanks!

#3049: FedoraHosted FAQ: Add Q/A about deleting release files

= phenomenon =
Please add an answer here:
https://fedorahosted.org/web/en/faq
for the question "How can I delete archive releases?"
= reason =
{{{
<kparal> how can I delete files from
https://fedorahosted.org/released/autoqa/ ?
<sgallagh> kparal: Unless it's for legal reasons, you shouldn't.
<sgallagh> kparal: Why do you need to?
<kparal> sgallagh: just curious, because I copied empty 'foo' file there
while experimenting. I can also need it when upload is corrupted or
whatnot. can we add this question to FAQ? I think people may ask it pretty
frequently
<sgallagh> I thought it was already there.
<sgallagh> Don't experiment with "releases", it's intentionally write-
only.
<kparal> I don't see it there: https://fedorahosted.org/web/en/faq
<sgallagh> Or, rather, you don't have delete permission, only sysadmin-
hosted does
<kparal> sgallagh: where do you see those sentences?
<sgallagh> kparal: I don't, I wasn't quoting
<sgallagh> But you're right, that should be added.
<kparal> sgallagh: should I file a ticket?
<sgallagh> I don't appear to have privilege to edit that page, however. So
you'll have to wait until someone from -main or -web appears.
<sgallagh> Or that, yes
