Website Help
by Christopher Walker
Good evening Fedora Websites Team,
I am highly interested in helping out on the Fedora Websites Team. I
have been using Fedora since FC4. I would like to contribute back to a
project that has contributed so much to me.
I have been studying web design and web development for about 9 years. I
am currently comfortable with HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript. I have
been utilizing PHP/MySQL for a little over a year and am just now
getting used to it's intricacies.
I currently attend college at University of Maryland University College
Asia Campus. I currently reside in Japan and have so for almost 3 years.
I am anxious to start helping out with anything I can get my hands on.
Sincerely,
Christopher Walker

EPEL down?
by Curt Freeland
One of my users tried to install access to the EPEL repository
via http://download.fedora.redhat.com/, but that web site appears
to be down. I get the following error when I try to browse to
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location:
jar:file:///usr/lib64/xulrunner-1.9.2/chrome/toolkit.jar!/content/global/netError.xhtml
Line Number 60, Column 12: <title>&loadError.label;</title>
-----------^
Is there a new method for accessing EPEL repository packages via yum?
Thanks,
--curt

Website Help
by Craig Doss
Hello,
My name is Craig and I would be interested in helping do whatever is needed
for the Fedora project. I am currently in college for Web Design and
Development at Stark State College in North Canton, Ohio, USA. I have a CIW
Associate V5 certificate (Certification ID#: 401616, Certified 03/28/10). I
am looking to gain experience on web projects. If it is something that I
don't know how to do, I will learn it quickly.
Thanks,
Craig

Linking to cloud images
by Max Spevack
Proposed diff to get-fedora, if someone would be kind enough to check it
in. Simply adding a line under the "other options" for cloud images.
I purposefully called it "Clouds:" to match the way "Formats",
"Desktops", and "Spins" were written.
I also renamed the wiki page to "Cloud images" (with redirects
working) so that it is vendor neutral, and so that eventually the list
of supported clouds can grow.
However, I still see this as a short-term fix. Something we'll have to
do in the future -- but probably post F16 since things are pretty locked
down now -- is to create /get-fedora-options#clouds and to make it look
like the other links in this list.
But for now, a one line patch to take advantage of the fact that F16 is
EC2-ready on release day.
<li><a href="/en/get-fedora-options#formats">Formats</a>: DVD
ISOs, Physical Media</li>
<li><a href="/en/get-fedora-options#desktops">Desktops</a>:
KDE, Xfce, GNOME, and others</li>
<li><a href="/en/get-fedora-options#spins">Spins</a>:
Electronics Lab, Education, and others</li>
+ <li><a
href="http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Cloud_images">Clouds</a>: EC2</li>
</ul>
Thoughts?
