Fedora Electronic Lab
by Bart Grefte
Dear sir/madam,
I ran into a problem with Fedora Electronic Lab, but I am not sure where to
report it.
The problem that I ran into is a bug that has been fixed, but the fix has
not been implemented into the installation disk, instead it's being offered
through updates. Since the bug in question prevents under certain
circumstances a successful boot, I would like to know why it hasn't been
implemented in the installation disk.
The bug presents itself when booting the Fedora Electronic Lab 18 iso within
a virtual machine made in VMWare Workstation 9. When the bug presents
itself, it causes the boot process to stop just before the logon screen
should appear. Instead only the background and the mouse appear, nothing
more. It's not frozen though, I can move the mouse.
After disabling the 3d graphics acceleration setting in VMWare Workstation,
booting and installing goes without problems. The 3d graphics acceleration
setting can be re-enabled after the updates for Fedora have been installed.

In the comments on the 2nd link, someone says: "This has been fixed in
commit dbb2d192de33064ae6cdb799d71c5ac89a6ea8ff in the Mesa3D repository"
Can you forward this email to the right person? It would be very helpful to
update the iso with this particular fix.
With regards,

Problem with IPv6 access to fedora mirrors
by George, Wes
I'm doing some testing of IPv6-only connectivity (disabled IPv4) from my desk here at work, and wanted to alert you of a problem with fedoraproject.org
When you click to download Fedora 18 (from /en/get-fedora), the automatic download fails a good portion of the time, because it redirects to a mirror that isn't IPv6 capable. I had to click reload several times to get it to find a v6-capable mirror. You probably need some additional logic to recognize that the request was made over IPv6, and ensure that you redirect to an IPv6-capable mirror.
Thanks,
Wes

CSS on Fedora wiki pages
by Ian Collier
Dear Webmaster,
In https://fedoraproject.org/static/css/fedora.css it defines #wrapper
to have the attribute:
overflow: hidden;
Is there a particular reason why this is needed? It means that if I
visit the Fedora wiki in a narrow web browser and the content goes off
the right-hand side of the screen, I don't get a scrollbar to view
the missing content.
Thanks
Ian Collier
