#299: Finalize new start.fpo -----------------------+----------------------- Reporter: robyduck | Owner: webmaster Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: ASAP Component: General | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: -----------------------+----------------------- Accordingly to design ticket [https://fedorahosted.org/design- team/ticket/334 #334] I worked on a new start.fedoraproject.org page and it's now built in staging: https://start.stg.fedoraproject.org The Council also decided to revert the last changes in firefox and to have start.fpo as default starting page again, so it would be nice to have it in production soon (at least before we start working on Alpha and spins). The page is responsive, the script is working fine apparently and the new page never failed a build for now (planet feed often caused start.fpo build to fail). If there are any suggestions or improvements please add them here, I have these for now: * get the SVG of fmag-ribbon.png to have a neater one on the page (requested in design trac) * Find a solution for the "Sponsor" footer link, actually it's on fedoraproject.org which is not working anymore. -- Ticket URL: <https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-websites/ticket/299> fedora-websites <https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Websites> Fedora Website Team's Trac instance

limitations in account handling

Hi, There are some limitations in the handling of accounts, in the user's home page: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/user/view/xuser - There is only one SSH key allowed. I work from home and from office. That restriction prevents me from committing from both places (and I don't want to share these keys). - Replacing an SSH key takes almost a day. - There is no mentioning in that page of the way to update the certificates used in koji. planet problem

Hi, My planet feed used to work until recently. As far as I know, nothing was changed on our side, but my latest blog I published yesterday did not show up on planet. For the security question I had a question with an apostrophe in it, like "what is Buddy's favorite color". I hit Submit and got a 500 error. Feedback on the new website

Just noticed that fedora have just launched a new website [1], must say I like the more simplistic theme (guess it will be much easier to get maintain) also its great that its very straight forward to access the download page. That I say have some concerns about the workstation page [2]. It feels very much like workstation page target engineers/developers and not the advantage user, have fedora given up that market? Some of the pictures on that page are not very nice. *The picture of the person who gives a quote is unsharp and the person looks very stereotypical of how you expect a developer to look like (nothing against that person). *One of a pictures feature a person typing on a computer with a very dirty screen, think this ruins the pictures as it really takes focus from an otherwise beautiful picture and gives overall a bad impression of the page and to some degree fedora. 1 https://getfedora.org/ 2 https://getfedora.org/en/workstation/ -- -mvh Oliver Propst

planet doesn't seem to know about my fedora rss feed anymore

My .planet file appears to be setup correctly, but posts from it aren't showing up on planet. I think my rss feed was hosed for a time last year (and I haven't been very active) but it's fixed now. Dear webmaster, I'm the registered user zaffo80 on your website fedoraproject.org. After some years I tried to login on this website but unfortunately my password expired. I think this account was linked to the mail zaffo80(a)zaffo80.cjb.net, but unfortunately this email has been deactivated some months ago. Is it possible to change the mail linked to the account?
