[fedora-websites] Issue #790: Link no longer valid
by Evan Gould
aldeaman reported a new issue against the project: `fedora-websites` that you are following:
``
I was referred to this page by the games(a)lists.fedoraproject.org mailing list.
The link to the FreeCiv game website on the main Fedora Games Spin page (https://labs.fedoraproject.org/en/games/) is no longer valid.
A message on Freeciv.org says:
• 3rd Mar 2018 - The web version of Freeciv, play.freeciv.org, has been shut down. The sole volunteer who was running the service is no longer willing to continue doing so.
We haven't identified anyone else on the (very small) Freeciv team who has the skills and time to run this service hosted on freeciv.org, so you should expect it to be down for the foreseeable future.

[fedora-websites] Issue #732: Provide some screenshots or large images for
Workstation and Server (and maybe some Labs)?
by Martin Bříza
mbriza reported a new issue against the project: `fedora-websites` that you are following:
``
All the Spins and some Labs have pretty, large and even up-to-date screenshots on their respective download pages. Workstation doesn't have anything like that and there is no one-stop place where I could get the screenshot (or more of them) to use in Fedora Media Writer (that links to the Spins screenshots as they are on the website and then downloads them on the fly). That applies to Server, too (harder to do a screenshot, I know) and most of the Labs (that have nice wide banners which could be used instead in FMW, though).
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but it would end up being the place where the eventual shots would be hosted so I'm starting to ask here.

[fedora-websites] Issue #768: Proposal: Kill fudcon.fedoraproject.org and
drop it from the repo
by Robert Mayr
robyduck reported a new issue against the project: `fedora-websites` that you are following:
``
This is a proposal which also needs inputs from Infra folks - @kevin @puiterwijk
Actually we build this website hourly and still maintain the code to make happy the builder, but we redirect people to flocktofedora.org, which means nobody uses this website anymore.
While also fedoraproject.org has a redirect, the main domain will be used again in the future and still serves some minor bits to developers (i.e. network-manager) and users.
## Reasons ##
fudcon.fedoraproject.org should be dropped because:
* FUDCons are *dead*
* If a region wants to organize a FUDCon-like event, it will probably have its own website (i.e. fudconlatam.org)
* fudcon.fp.o is not mobile friendly and doesn't use our bootstrap layout, pages are very old style
* fudcon.fp.o has no Internationalization, means it is not translatable
* Traffic we had on this website before redirecting it, has been very very low
* In the future we won't need this subdomain
I am also asking for Infra inputs, because if we decide to drop it from the repo, we will need to make some changes also in Ansible, in order to not look for it during the build. Any reference to this website needs to be dropped too.
Thoughts?

[fedora-websites] Issue #795: Prepare websites for F28 Beta release
by Robert Mayr
robyduck reported a new issue against the project: `fedora-websites` that you are following:
``
So this is rather late this time, but we are going to release F28 soon and still need to do some stuff here. f28-beta branch has been already created, but there is not much work done, so if anyone wants to help, this is the place where we work on Beta.
Alos, please read #792 carefully, we will have some changes this time and need to pick this ticket up again for final release, as we probably need to add AtomicWorkstation to our set of images we publich on the websites (Atomic is an edition, so that's a priority).
The website is already building successfully for Beta, so if you make any changes please test it out, it "should" work properly. I will also build the staging website with the f28-beta branch, so anyone can see and test out what we are going to release.
At this point we probably should wait to have a GO, because it will us give checksums, paths and many other bits (which spins are building and which not) we need.
* get all checksum files and add them to the websites (they have to be signed first)
* verify paths and checksum links, see #792 for changes here
* update Beta image sizes and composedates
* sync out with @dustymabe for the Atomic scripts
* regularly create POT files and push them to Zanata; Note: we are NOT going to freeze translations this time
If I forgot something I'll add it here later, but anyone is welcome to complete this task.

held even if the release is delayed at the Go/No-Go meeting on the
same day two hours earlier.
You may received this message several times, but it is by purpose to
open this meeting to the teams and to raise awareness, so hopefully
more team representatives will come to this meeting. This meeting
