Dear sir/madam,

I ran into a problem with Fedora Electronic Lab, but I am not sure where to report it.

The problem that I ran into is a bug that has been fixed, but the fix has not been implemented into the installation disk, instead it’s being offered through updates. Since the bug in question prevents under certain circumstances a successful boot, I would like to know why it hasn’t been implemented in the installation disk.

Fedora 18 Spins have been released at the same time as Fedora 18 GA: 2013 january 15th!
All the fixes released after this date are available through updates, as you said, and there is no official re-spin of the Spin you mentioned, because the F18-FEL-ISO will remain the same for the whole life of Fedora 18.

You can see it also in the second link, the report has been created at 2013-01-23, therefore after the FEL Spin release.
Finally I think the issue is more related to your VM than to Fedora, as you mentioned also in your workaround. Bugzilla would be the right place where posting bugs.

With regards,

Bart Grefte
Cheers.
