Good evening from Grimsby, Lincolnshire, UK

I have installed Fedora 10 today for the first time. As a long time Windows user...rather disillusioned of late...
I Recently bought a Macbook Pro for mobile computing (excellent) and decided after toying with various
Linux distro's for a few years...to install Fedora 10 on my home PC...

Here's my spec's for a guide...
Gigabyte 945 DS3
Conroe E6400 Core 2 Duo
2 GB Corsair XMS DDR2
Barracuda 200GB Sata2
Soundblaster live digital
POV 8800 GTS 340MB DDR3

After a hard job installing the Nvidia drivers and sorting out the kernel etc...I must say...I much prefer this
Linux to even Ubuntu 8.10...which was my distro of choice for a while..it just seems easier to use and install things
in Fedora...the only gripe is the refresh rate...75Hz without Nvidia drivers...now 51Hz with them...something to sort
out later I guess...

But all in all a superb and secure Linux platform...
My congratulations to all the team involved

Peace and a happy new year from England

Regards

Mike Johnson
