#2049: https://fedoraproject.org/verify does not provide llinks for F13 alpha checksum files -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Reporter: till | Owner: webmaster Type: bug | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: Web Content | Version: Severity: Normal | Keywords: -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- = phenomenon =
I would like to test F13 alpha desktop live. To verify it, I need the matching -CHECKSUM files. On the [https://fedoraproject.org/verify verify page] only the F12 -CHECKSUM files are linked.
= recommendation =
Add links to the F13 alpha -CHECKSUM files on the verify page or link to them directly at the [https://fedoraproject.org/get-prerelease pre- release] page to avoid forgetting to update them with the next pre- release.

So will there be these links for the F14 alpha and other pre-releases? Has this been added to some checklist for pre-release preparation? Doing this for the final release does not really fix this issue. But if you decide to not provide these links for pre releases, please state this clearly.

Sorry, I was just going through cleaning out some old bugs, and saw the F13 links on there, so I assumed this to no longer be a problem. Sorry about that.

This appears to be standard process now, though I can not find documentation requiring this information on that website or a process to make sure it is included. It does seem like this is now being done.

Yes, it will start becoming a standard process. We still need to update the websites_release_sop wiki page to include the steps.
