 I have set my browser to send

 Accept-Language: de-DE,de;q=0.8,en-US;q=0.6,en;q=0.4

 This results in the fp.o site auto-selecting to display content in
 “de_CH”, where it should instead choose “de”.

 Selection should probably be done according to section 3.4 of BCP 47.

 It’s actually the reverse of the phenomenon described in #2133.

 I set Accept-Language to only "pt", I get "pt-BR" version; I set
Accept-
 Language to only "de", I get "de-CH" version. It’s completely
backwards.

 Chrome 21 and Firefox 14.

 and see if any changes of languages.conf helps this?
