Hi all, the one week slip of F25 is getting us some time to finalize also the new website alt.fp.o. We should be able at this point to move it to production for the F25 release date. Actually the website is running in staging at https://alt.stg.fedoraproject.org
The source on zanata is now open for translation, it's not a huge work (only 2 pages), but in the next days I'll push some more strings.
Thank you and happy translating. Regards.
As of now, I'm delighted to inform that it's translated close 100% to Portuguese_PT. Only a minor reviews are needed. Regards from Portugal.

Hi Robert,
With all respect with the large amout of work to produce high quality website, can you please warn when you change few hundreeds of strings to getfedora a few days before release?
Please note there is a few mistakes:
"JointheProjectAtomicchaton<strong>#atomic</strong></a>on<strong>irc.freenode.org</strong></a>."
We already have surprises from Media Writer, from Anaconda, now websites... Process says total Freeze after 1st november.

My apologies for that, but we had a last minutes change from Cloud WG about the new atomic pages. It's not the first time this happens and unfortunately it will aslo not be the last time. I always try to give you as much time as possible, but sometimes things come up not as desired. We also passed the whole week to setup alt.fp.o, where you will find also new strings. I will see where this error comes from, thanks.
Please note that websites don't have a string freeze deadline as other projects, we decide sometimes to go for a production string freeze (as actually), but it is not mandatory. Thanks for your feedback. Kind regards.

Website team is the easiest Fedora team to work with. It never is a good news when we have this and planned something else, but we can fix it easily because you sync every day!
We need your help, each string you change require one translator per language to work. getfedora.org has 16 languages with more than 80%, it means 16 people who have to check if something happened... Sadly, Zanata do not have automatic messages to warn us, so we need you to communicate more.
By the way, can you please save the translation in your git repository before closing the current branch? It means, save F24 translated content before moving to F25 branch. It would be great to save the history of our work.
Other bugs (you may have a look to Ukrainian version because they are 100%! https://stg.getfedora.org/uk/):
First page:
* "Download now" from first page isn't translatable.
* Fedora Workstation, Server and Atomic' description are not tanslated
Workstation, Cloud, Server pages:
* "There's more to Fedora Logo" is not translatable
Cloud/Download:
* Regions from "Fedora 24 Standard Atomic Host HVM AMIs" are not translate
thanks for your help,
I'll reply inline.

No, we can't archive old translations. We build against the same branch, and on release day we merge the actual devel branch with the new transalted strings into master, overwriting the actual F24 branch.

Shuld be all fixed, thank you.
- "There's more to Fedora Logo" is not translatable
Not sure why, I need to investigate that further.
Cloud/Download:
- Regions from "Fedora 24 Standard Atomic Host HVM AMIs" are not translate
Correct, regions are not translatable.
thanks for your help,

Hi all, I would also like to advice you to pay attention on alt.fpo. There are some strings (MB iso image or the other builds TC's ecc) which have a limited space. I saw some language teams decided for very long strings, which breaks the web layout. Please try to find a short translation, the shorter the better, specially in languages which are used to have very long words. Thanks.
Hi,
I think that there is a problem in CSS. The translations of "%sMB netinstall iso" exceed the column width for some languages at https://alt.stg.fedoraproject.org/lang_code/alt/
Examples: https://alt.stg.fedoraproject.org/fr/alt/ , https://alt.stg.fedoraproject.org/es/alt/ ...

This should happen for small resolutions, probably we need to rethink about the layout a bit, and probably make these strings untranslatable to avoid bad websites behaviours.
Removing this rule works (at least in Windows' Chrome and Firefox I'm using at work):
.using p { padding: 10px 5px 10px 10px; }
But it makes other stuff ugly (though not as much as the current problem): it changes alignment of the text to the left explaining what the images are for.
So instead of removing that rule, let's add this one:
.white .col-md-3 p, .white .col-md-4 p { padding: 0px; }
It seems to work wonderfully. Well, the download/verify and one-line descriptions are not vertically centered.
.white .col-md-3 p { padding-bottom: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; }
Seems to uglify only double-line descriptions while not breaking the layout.
Please filter, reduce, clean or whatever it needs, I'm not a web developer.
BTW, disappearance of those descriptions in small screens makes the different downloads for the same product indistinguishable, although I don't expect anyeone downloading that from a phone.
