Hi all,

Google Summer of Code is a program where Google pays college students to spend the summer contributing to FLOSS projects, and Fedora is participating as a mentoring organization in this year's program.

If you're a college student (or similar), apply to GSoC and spend your summer working to make Fedora better!

The application period opens on March 16. If you're interested, now is the time to peruse the list of ideas [1] and reach out to the potential mentors for any of the projects you find interesting.

I've been a mentor for the past two summers, and it's a great way to get more involved in Fedora, learn new skills, and get some real world experience. I'm happy to answer any questions about the program, and I've included links to resources at the end of the email.

All the best,
Emily Dirsh (Emichan)
