Then it brings up the question for what constitutes a preventable tragedy. Because nothing happened it can be argued in virtually any case that it might not have escalated. If James Holmes from the Aurora shooting was stopped would it have been possible to prove he would have actually gone through with it? I think these cases have to be treated not with hindsight but with the actual events going on through the people that went through it. I think if you point a gun at somebody regardless of intent it should be treated like an imminent threat to life.

45 with wife and two great kids. Lovely house, good friends love our area. I work out regularly and enjoy a drink or two on a regular basis. I play in a dadrock band and periodically travel. I'm a work at home dad and *heavily* involved in my kids' lives.
My career is the only piece that isn't working. i had a very well paid position until 2009 (god that sounds long ago now) and since that ended I've been making a much more modest wage and in 2014 i made the same amount of money I made in 1994. that's... that's not good. But during my high earning years we put aside a lot of money for retirement and the kids' college so that's comforting to some degree. I just don't know what to do next. I applied to community college in the spring and wasn't able to figure out what classes to take that wouldn't waste my time. I know myself well nough to know that I'm not the type to run my own business so I have to keep looking for work.
BUT in 2009 i was an overworked asshat who treated home life with the imperious attitude of The Earner. I felt like a lot of stuff that involved the kids was just 'not my job' and while i wasn't a Bad Dad, I wasn't there like I should have been. I was 20 lbs heavier and just angry all the time. The last 5 years of 'figuring out life' have been very good for me mentally, physically and spiritually. I've come to accept that things like driving a 14 year old car and not having cable or the latest iGeegaw aren't the end of the world. I've come to truly appreciate our house rather than coveting the bigger ones in the next 'hood over. I am literally happier now than ever in my life.
That said I feel like i've learned my lesson and would like to go back to making a shitton of money please. I promise I won't be a jerk this time. :)

Sorry Im new . I create that profile when I saw someone speak about Zorro speed.
First is my favorites character.
I think is more faster than Hakuba. We see so many times, look when he face the red dragon. Hakuba we saw wind cut. But Zorro serious with the training is faster. Look is speed with Enbima Yonezu Oni Giri ...
I think is all about the pictures in episode.

People wanted the feel of an ES in an mmo format but instead they got a generic Hero Engine mmo with insanely diluted ES universe shoehorned into it. I was in one of the early betas and there was no difference between this game and any other HE mmo. Then they added in the Skyrim-esque icons and finally the first person combat. Beyond that, there is nothing ES about the game. All they need to do is figure out the netcode for allowing jump in jump out co-op for the next proper ES game. That would satisfy damn near everyone interested in a multi-player ES world

Thank you for your reply. Your statement regarding crime rate reduction is interesting.... Can anybody cite sources on that? And how do they separate that effect from other causal factors for violent crime? It seems intuitive that CCW would reduce crime as you say but I imagine there are a lot of factors.
Honestly, I don't know how realistic the risk is or not. I have lived most of my life in very low crime areas (in states which, BTW, concealed carry was not legal or very limited until recently) and frankly haven't thought a lot about this risk until today. It seems likely to me so far (admittedly just from Googling around this morning) that cases are underreported relative to, for example, traffic fatalities. And of course with any data-driven decision, the affirmative steps I can take to reduce my personal risk are a significant factor that tells a more important story than the raw stats. I can drive safely. I can avoid walking alone in strange neighborhoods at night. But I have no control over CCW holder behavior and no good strategy to avoid its consequences.
It's striking to me that, on the one hand, people who seem knowledgeable are coming into this thread calling the woman an idiot. Yet in every news article I've read so far about the incident, it is stated that she grew up around guns, had lifelong familiarity with them, and was described as being a responsible gun owner by a number of quoted sources, including the husband who gave her the handbag for Christmas. So there doesn't appear to be consensus on what constitutes a "responsible" gun owner.
Finally, regarding your last paragraph, are there any reliable statistics on the utility of CCW in aiding the unarmed? That also strikes me as a rare event.
Thanks again for reading.

I wasn't quite sure myself about the depth comment. I had originally thought what you did (it's 20 inches deep going into the counter) but didn't know why they would want that measurement.
I did remove the top half of the backer to the original drawer with the table saw (ripping the length) and a hack saw (through the glue and staples through the joints).

If you are looking for EPDM, which is the roofing material that people use, you can find it at a roofing supply house, they may have some self adhesive strips that would work. Also a place that makes or sells garden ponds and supplies.
If you are looking for natural gum rubber, then go to MSC and order online.
