Would it make sense to conjoin it with the amazon ec2 day?
It sounds like it could make sense, the only problem being (sorry) I'm not sure I know or can find out what the "amazon ec2 day" is or is supposed to be... :-)
Did you mean something like proposing an EC2 TestDay?
Thanks and Regards, Dario

Yeah. Cloud Day I think its called? Maybe that is overloading it thought as doing testing on clouds takes a bit of time for newbies.

I see. Well, nothing like that is on the schedule for F18 TDs, at least not up to now.

Yeah, probably. However, how about I propose the Xen one and then, if anything like that comes out, we discuss joining the two things?

Sounds good, dare we hope that in 18 we will be able to "yum install xen" and have a working boot item in grub2? Without downloading and installing stuff from koji, developer's personal space, etc?

Hmm.. what do you mean with "working boot item" ?
I thought it already worked in Fedora 17 ? Or then I'm so used to patching things that I don't even remember doing it :D

Could you elaborate pls? I just installed F17 and did 'yum install xen' and it booted just fine? It even did that in F16..

Well, as other have said, that should be possible already with Fedora 17, and it sure is possible with the installation of Fedora 17 I have here at my place. :-)
Still, I think it could be useful as a mechanism to ensure we can continue doing this on F18! :-P
Anyway, I've read some documentation about test days, and there seems to be still some available slots. Allow me to touch base with the xen-devel mailing list a bit (mostly, to see if I can get someone to step up and help :-D), and then I'll go ahead and propose it... And of course I'll keep this list posted.
