has anyone figured out a way bring back update notifications to Xfce? It
getting boring to open yumex or Terminal to do a yum check-update and
recognize that there are no updates available.
How do I get my flashing underline cursor back in Terminal. Right now
all I get is a block that only highlight when you back arrow over some text.
But is invisible at the end of the line. I can not find anything to do
cursor in Terminal's Preferences. Very frustrating.
Hey everyone in xfce land!
I was thinking about re-introducing system-config-lvm and
system-config-network to the spin and I was hoping for feedback. To the
best of my knowledge they were pulled for size reasons but I rolled my
own liveCD including them this morning (on F15, next I'll try F16) and
the resulting ISO is well under the 700mb mark.
As always ... questions, comments, and snide remarks welcome! :)
Hey, folks. So, we've just spun the latest F16 Alpha RC, which you can
(DVD / boot.iso are a level up). It's desktop validation time! I didn't
notify you all of the earlier TCs / RCs as they were all quite obviously
broken, but we're hoping RC4 will be the one. There's only two desktop
validation tests (per desktop) that are critical to Alpha release, but
it's good to get through some of the others too so we can get ahead of
ourselves on Beta / Final fixes.
So, if you have a bit of spare time, it'd be great if you could grab an
image and help fill out the test results page:
that'd be a great help. Thanks! LXDE not included on the mail because we
don't have an LXDE image yet, I believe there's an issue preventing
compose; I'll look into that.

does anyone have an idea how to get rid of gnome-sound-applet? Removing
control-center is not possible because I need gnome-bluetooth. I've
tried to disable the gnome-session-properties entry and removing the
.desktop file from ~/.config/autostart but nothing seems to work.
My current workaround is a crontab which is fired every 5 minutes and
tries to kill gnome-sound-applet.
