Proposal For Xfce spin
by Zachary Snyder (Sadin)
Hi everyone, ive been involved with the fedora design team for quite some
time now for my initiation project i designed the banner that marked the
fedora 16 release :P (really proud about that) anyway, ive been using xfce
the entire journey ive had with linux. I love xfce and i think it is an
amazing DE. However there is one thing i havent been able to get over,
being a person who loves creativity and design. Xfce has some nice styles
shipped with it by default but for alot of people i know it just doesnt
"cut it". Ive recently joined up with a group of people in the FOSS world
called The Shimmer Project.
http://shimmerproject.org/about/
Many of the shimmer project core members and leader are infact ubuntu users
and were once part of the ubuntu design team but they have broken off "We,
as a collective are not part of any particular project. Our individuals,
however, are members of various communities". They did this and now develop
xfce themes for any user wishing to use them based on this mentality "make
Open Source beautiful". I too shared those ideals so i joined them. My
suggestion is to make the fedora xfce spin more attractive, just as
attractive as it is usable and functional. I use their greybird theme
myself and it is simple amazing.
Being FOSS its open to any distro any person who wishes to use it i would
like to suggest we possibly shit One or all of The Shimmer Projects xfce
themes with the spin.

Files Conflict F16 > F17
by Frank Murphy
Whiles doing the /usrmove test.
F16 fully updated, as default only added system-config-language
clash between
/usr/bin/xfrun4 as supplied by xfce4-appfinder*fc17
and installed version from xfce4-utils*fc16
Unfortunatly I didn't catch the version numbers.

yum update doesn't
by Beartooth
What do I do about the problem below? The "yum load transaction"
at the end of it doesn't work. Nor does "yum update --skip-broken" nor
"yum clean all"

Is there a full DVD?
by Beartooth
I have the .iso for the Live CD of F16xfce, and I can install
from that; but I'd rather have a DVD with the whole shebang, if I could
find it.
I did not manage to find it from the get Fedora page, nor the
xfce
page. Does it exist?
I want to convert a machine currently running CentOS 6.2, and I
don't know of a way to make it do a preupgrade and turn into Fedora.

Thunar bookmarks
by John Jason Jordan
I used Gnome on Fedora, starting with Fedora 11, x86_64. I upgraded
from 11 to 14, and just now from 14 to 16. I had already tried the live
CD and had read a lot about Gnome 3 on the net so, before upgrading
from 14 to 16 I installed Xfce and got it configured the way I want it.
I am now a happy Xfce user. Although Gnome is still installed, I have
yet to boot to it since the upgrade from 14 to 16.
Xfce uses Thunar as its default file browser, and I am happy with it.
Nautilus is still installed and I can run it if I choose, but Thunar is
fine. However, I had a lot of bookmarks set up in Nautilus before my
migration to Xfce. Xfce set those bookmarks up in Thunar, which was
thoughtful of the Thunar developers. However, now I want to add a
couple of bookmarks and I can't find any way to do so.
How do I add a folder as a bookmark to Thunar?
