xfce4-term default font is: "Liberation Mono Regular 10" - but that
font doesn't seem to exist?
by Philip Rhoades
People,
I use xfce4-term for nearly all my terminal work but there is something
I don't understand that I found when I was trying to sort out mrxvt font
problems - the default font for xfce4-term is as noted in the Subject
but when I list the similar fonts on the system I only see:
-misc-liberation mono-bold-i-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-iso8859-1
-misc-liberation mono-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-iso8859-1
-misc-liberation mono-medium-i-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-iso8859-1
-misc-liberation mono-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-iso8859-1
and if I use xfontsel to look at things - the option for "Regular" font
weight is greyed out - so what is the actual font that xfce4-term is
really using?
Thanks,
Phil.

Thunar - directories sorted first - OK; app for choosing upload /
download of files directories NOT first - BAD . .
by Philip Rhoades
People,
I am using Fedora 31 x86_64.
If I just use Thunar directly the dirs are sorted in front of files -
like I want it but if I am using Chrome and having to choose a file to
upload or choose a dir to download a file to, a window resembling Thunar
pops up but the dirs and files are intermingled according to name - how
do I fix this issue? I am guessing it is not an XFCE / Thunar issue -
but if it is a Chrome issue, how it fixed - I can't see any options for
this.
Thanks,
Phil.
