how does one edit the menu in FC16?

Hi All,

I am going out to a customer next week that I installed
FC16 Xfce 64 bit from the Live CD on last week.

To my horror, in FC16, Alacarte does not work:
     https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734442

And, lxmed has "another instance running".

Okay, http://lxmed.sourceforge.net/ has since said he
has fixed that error.

Very frustrating.

So, I thought I'd ask you guys what your preferred
method of editing the menu is.  Any thoughts?
