Nope, I usually do 'ctrl + alt + l' to lock the PC and that wasn't
working. Just checked it and it seems that it activates light-locker when
the screensaver is activated.
Checking 'Settings Manager' it appears that I don't have a screensaver
option listed there. Did you removed xscreensaver?

Yes I removed xscreensaver, as per that guide. I also went to settings -
power manager and the security tab and set it to lock. It locks when when I
suspend or hibernate. I don't have a shortcut set up to lock the system.
Just closing the lid is easier.
