Automation is something we can do, but it's not a magic bullet: if you
automate the tests, instead of spending your time running them, you get
to spend your time managing the automation :) So it is still a problem
to have a huge set of apps to test, because then you will have a huge
set of automated tests to manage, and GUI apps tend to change in ways
that break automation quite often.
So whether the tests are manual or automated, it is still valuable to
consider the questions Lukas presented.
