I hope I'm not out of line to suggest this but the easiest path would be to use a Fedora remix that has already done this for you. Otherwise you would need to package and update ublock.
Korora includes Ublock Origin and has a side panel with a Firefox icon at the top. https://kororaproject.org/

Hi Jim,
It looks good, but it is not Xfce.
I found that the "Internet" icon on FC25 Xfce Live is
actually Firefox, so I think that he will be just fine.
This is for an old duffer (75+ years old) that got kicked off
this banking site for using Vista. All he need to do
log into his bank.
