I'm fine with switching to lxdm temporarily, but we first should
figure out if is really gdm.
I was suggesting switching to lxdm because gdm doesn't get us much
anymore. It used to be it had things like ability to select language
and such, but all thats gone. Is there any benifit left to gdm over
lxdm?

I suggested this in the F15 cycle and the feedback was negative.
People wanted to stick with abiword, see

I am not saying we should not switch to LibreOffice (in fact I'd
support the idea) but I think we should not have the same discussions
again and again and I am skeptic if we have enough space.
Yeah, I was going to check, but it seems that abiword might get sorted
out soon. ;)

I thought this was the reason for switching to gdm or are we dealing
with two problems here?
This was seperate, and hopefully is fixed now.

-1. While the default layout can be improved I dislike the layout
martin proposed and have lined out the problems with it in the old
thread.
ok. Perhaps we could get a alternate proposal or ask Martin to revamp
his? Or should we stick with default?
