I have the .iso for the Live CD of F16xfce, and I can install from that; but I'd rather have a DVD with the whole shebang, if I could find it.
I did not manage to find it from the get Fedora page, nor the xfce page. Does it exist?
I want to convert a machine currently running CentOS 6.2, and I don't know of a way to make it do a preupgrade and turn into Fedora.

Yes. Go to http://fedoraproject.org/get-fedora -> "View more Fedora options..." -> "Fedora 16 DVD"

OK, my bad. I meant specifically the full xfce spin. I'm one of the refugees from Gnome 3. Sorry about that.

What is a full Xfce Spin? Spins are installable live-media with a predefined package selection. So you either take the spin or you take the DVD and select the appliations you want. Unfortunately the current spins don't allow this as the installer just copies an image of the media to the harddrive.

Oho! I've been running Omega Linux almost since it began; but I had no idea that all spins were live. Many thanks!

Your safest option is to backup, and install clean from Xfce LiveCD. If that's not possible, there is an awkward, sidegrade using "upgradeany" from CentOS to Fedora, using the full Fedora DVD. (Google for specifics)
You will then have a full Fedora Gnome install, as Gnome is the default on CentOS. Then yum install @xfce-desktop. Then slowly and safely remove apps not required.
Go for the safest option, do a clean install.

Now that you spell it out, it does sound like the old advice : "Keep your eye on the ball, your nose to the grindstone, and your ear to the ground -- and try to work in that position." I'll do as you say. Thanks!
