Thumbnail in Fedora 20 Xfce spin

[Luciano Antonio Siqueira]

I recently installed Fedora 20 32bit Xfce (I came from Fedora 20
Gnome). Everything is fine, except that no thumbnails are shown in
thunar or in ristretto.

Tumbler is installed and the thumbnail option in thunar is active.
Since all desktop configurations still are the default ones, I assume I
didn't messed up with them.

After some research on the Internet, I didn't find any solution. The
directory ~/.thumbnails exists and the thumbnails are generated,
but none of them appears in Thunar or in ristretto.

I don't use thumbnails myself,
but is it all formats, or just some jpg, tiff etc..
Try tumbler-extras seem if it does anything.

tumbler-extras is installed too. No file format works. However, I
installed pcmanfm and thumbnails are generated from inside it. Then, if
I use Thunar in the same directory, the thumbnails appears.

It seems to me that thunar can not generate new thumbnails with tumbler,
but only display existing thumbnails.

You did reset the preferences in thunar to show thumbnails, right?
Having just upgraded my own system to 4.10, I see that is a new
preference.

Problem solved! Some gstreamer plugins (gstreamer-ffmpeg and
gstreamer-plugins-good) were missing. After a reboot everything is
working.
