I'm getting this for F13 fully updated XFCE, with an umounted DVD (F13) showing two icons on the desktop
If I manually eject the disc, one icon stays on desktop.

Or this happens with Thunar as well?

It was purely on the desktop itself,

No, but it was installed.
Or this happens with Thunar as well?
No
yum erase nutilus + deps. seem to have sorted itself out.
